Do I need to know Arabic to start Quran lessons?
No. You do not need any knowledge of Arabic before your first lesson. Your tutor will start from the very beginning with the Arabic alphabet, letter sounds, and basic pronunciation. Many of our students start with zero knowledge and progress to reading the Quran confidently within a few months.
At what age can children start Quran lessons?
Children can start as young as 4 or 5 years old. Our tutors who work with young children are specially trained to teach in a fun, gentle, and age-appropriate way that keeps children engaged and motivated. We recommend starting early but there is truly no wrong age to begin.
Are there female tutors available?

What is the difference between Quran reading and Tajweed?

Can my child memorize the full Quran with Darija Academy?

Is there a free trial lesson?
No. We do not offer free trial lessons. Every lesson including your first one is a fully paid private session. Our tutors prepare individually for each student from the very first lesson which takes real time and professional effort. Monthly plans are the best way to start because they offer better value and give you the consistency needed to actually progress.
How long is each lesson?
Every lesson is exactly 50 minutes. Lessons are strictly private and designed for one student only. No shared sessions, no group classes, no exceptions.
Can I share my lesson with my child or another family member?
No. All lessons are strictly for one student only. If another person wants to learn they need to purchase their own plan. Lessons cannot be shared between two people or between an adult and a child at the same price.
Which platform do you use for online lessons?
All lessons take place via Google Meet or Zoom. You do not need to download any extra software or create a new account. You simply receive a link before your lesson and click to join from any device.
What if I need to reschedule a lesson?
You can reschedule your lesson with advance notice through our booking system. We understand that life happens and we try to be as flexible as possible. Please reschedule at least 24 hours before your session to avoid losing the lesson.
How quickly will my child start reading the Quran?
This depends on the age of the child, their consistency, and how often they practice between lessons. Most children begin recognizing letters and reading simple words within the first few weeks. Children who attend lessons regularly and practice a little each day make the fastest and most lasting progress.
I am a new Muslim. Can I still join?
Absolutely. We welcome new Muslims with open hearts. Many of our tutors have experience working with converts and understand the unique journey of learning the Quran as someone who came to Islam later in life. You will never be made to feel behind or inadequate. Every step forward is a blessing.
