In this lesson, you will learn how to talk about something that someone intended or planned to do in the past.
Place a past-tense form of kan before ġadi. The structure expresses was going to, had intended to, or had planned to.
Examples
kan ġadi y-safr l mirikan, welakin ma-kan-š 3ndu l-viza. — He was going to travel to America, but he did not have a visa.
kant ġadya t-tzuwj l-3am l-li fat. — She was going to get married last year.
