Employee: fin ġadya t-ṣifṭi l-brawat?
Judy: bġit n-ṣifṭ wнda 3adiya l mirikan u wнda rikomandi hna f l-mġrib.
Employee: waxxa a lalla, 3ndk 22.50 drhm.
Paul: ana bġit n-ṣifṭ kulya l mirikan.
Employee: ara n-šuf šnu fiha.
Paul: hak a sidi.
Employee: 3mmr had l-mṭbu3 3afak.
Later:
Employee: weš t-ṣifṭha 3adi wlla ixpres?
Paul: ġir 3adi 3afak.
Employee: waxxa a sidi, 3ndk 250 drhm.
Paul & Judy: šukran, bslama.
Employee: lla y-3awn.
English meaning: Judy wants to send a normal letter to the US and a registered letter within Morocco (22.50 dirhams). Paul wants to send a parcel to the US — the employee checks the contents, has him fill out a customs form, and charges 250 dirhams for normal (non-express) service.
