Jamal: s-salamu 3alaykum.
Carlos: wa 3alaykum s-salam. mrнba bik.
Jamal: aš kat-dir f ḍ-ḍar?
Carlos: walu, ġir gals.
Jamal: yallah n-xrju.
Carlos: waxxa.
Jamal: šnu hada? had l-qfl 3iyan. xṣṣk waнd ṣнiн. u xṣṣk saqṭa baš t-sdd ldaxl.
Carlos: fikra mzyana. mnin ġadi n-šrihum?
Jamal: mn d-drugri wlla mn s-suq ġdda. u нtta had s-srjm xṣṣu barrat dyal l-нdid baš thnna. aji n-mšiu 3nd s-sudur n-ṣawbu had s-srjm daba. xṣṣk ġir t-šdd l-3bar dyalu.
Carlos: hadi fikra mu3tabara.
Jamal: iyeh, llahumma slama wala ndama.
English meaning: Jamal points out that Carlos’s door lock is weak and recommends a stronger one plus an inside bolt, and that the window needs iron bars. They plan to buy supplies from the hardware shop and visit the welder to fix the window right away.
