Latifa: malek, yak labas?
Amy: kay-ḍrni krši.
Latifa: weš fik luj3 bzzaf?
Amy: ay, bzzaf!
Latifa: ṣbri šwiya, ġadi n-ṭbx lik waнd l-kas d z-z3tr, dqqa bṭla!
Amy: lla lla 3afak, ma-ymkn-š liya n-šrb l-3šub.
Latifa: waxxa, kifaš ymkn liya n-3awnk?
Amy: ttaṣli 3afak b had r-raqm baš y-3iyṭu 3liya.
Latifa: hiya l-luwla, ma-y-kun bas.
Amy: llah y-wrrik ši bas.
English meaning: Latifa asks if Amy is okay; Amy says her stomach hurts badly. Latifa offers to make her an oregano tea to cure it right away, but Amy can’t drink herbal remedies and instead asks Latifa to call a number for her. Latifa agrees it’s easy and reassures her there won’t be a problem.
