LESSON 153Type 1 Conditional Exercise
Use the correct form of each verb to create possible conditional sentences with ila (if). Remember: the verb after ila normally uses the past tense, and the result may use the future tense or the imperative.
Exercise 1
ila huma (ṭlb) mnk l-flus, (mša) m3ahum l l-banka. — If they ask you for the money, go with them to the bank.
Exercise 2
ila ana (safr), (jab) kadu. — If I travel, I will bring a present.
Exercise 3
ila nta ma (lqa) huma f ḍ-ḍar, (3iyṭ) liya. — If you do not find them at home, call me.
Exercise 4
ila ana (xsr), ma-ymkn-š liya (ṣifṭ) liha l-flus. — If I lose, I will not be able to send her the money.
Exercise 5
ila nta (ja) 3ndi, ana (3ṭa) nta t-tṣawr. — If you come to my house, I will give you the pictures.
