These expressions are commonly used for requesting help, expressing thanks, showing sympathy, offering congratulations, and greeting someone after a journey.

Darija	Meaning & usage
lla y-rнm l-walidin.	May God bless your parents. Often used when asking for a service or information, or expressing gratitude.
walidina u walidik.	Our parents and yours. A response to the above.
lla y-šafi.	May God cure you. Said to a sick person.
lhla y-wrrik bas.	May God not show you any harm. Can be used as the response.
ajarakum llah.	May God magnify the reward. Used when offering condolences after a death.
lla y-ṣlн.	May God make your child a good person. Said when complimenting a parent’s child.
tbark llah 3lik.	May God grant you grace. Used when saying goodbye to a friend, or congratulating good work.
lla y-bark fik.	Response to the above.
ullah.	I swear to God. Emphasizes that what the speaker said is true.
